The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law was established by the General Assembly at its twenty-first session, in 1966, to promote the progressive harmonization and unification of the law of international trade.

In that regard, the Commission had recalled its own mandate to further the progressive harmonization and unification of the law of international trade by taking any action it deemed useful in order to fulfil its functions and had thus requested the secretariat to continue to operate the Transparency Registry, initially as a pilot project, and to seek the necessary funding.
وفي هذا الصدد، أشارت الأونسيترال إلى ولايتها التي تتمثل في مواصلة التنسيق والتوحيد التدريجيين للقانون التجاري الدولي باتخاذ أي إجراء ترى أنه يفيدها في الاضطلاع بمهامها، وطلبت من ثم، من أمانتها أن تواصل تشغيل سجل الشفافية، كمشروع تجريبي في مرحلة أولى، والتماس التمويل اللازم له.
