In his continuing effort to obtain the most accurate and up-to-date information on the situation of human rights in Iraq, the Special Rapporteur sent a team of two human rights officers to Jordan and Kuwait in January 1997 to receive testimonies and other information from refugees and other persons of interest arriving from Iraq and follow up on the question of missing Kuwaitis.
