15. Ms. Arystanbekova (Kazakhstan) said that, as Kazakhstan possessed a suitable space infrastructure on its Territory, particularly the Baikonur launch site, it was actively participating in international space activities and supported the efforts of the United Nations to further develop international cooperation in that field.

Ms. Arystanbekova (Kazakstan) said that the implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action would require coordinated action by the organs and agencies of the United Nations system and effective initiatives at the national level.

10. Ms. Arystanbekova (Kazakhstan) said that her delegation was in favour of finding a lasting solution to the Organization's financial crisis, the fundamental cause of which was the failure of Member States to meet their financial obligations.
