Following the adoption of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action at the World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance, held in Durban in 2001, the Commission on Human Rights, in its resolution 2002/68, created the Intergovernmental Working Group.
