1. On 4 March 2005, the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, Office of the Prosecutor, indicted the members of the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) Ramush Haradinaj, Idriz Balaj and Lahi Brahimaj.

5. On 3 April 2008, the Trial Chamber rendered its judgment: because of the lack of evidence, Ramush Haradinaj and Idriz Balaj were found not guilty on all counts of the indictment, while Lahi Brahimaj was sentenced to six years' imprisonment.

The Parties filed their final briefs on 14 January 2008, and the Chamber heard closing arguments on 21-23 January 2008. The Judgement was delivered on 3 April 2008, acquitting the Accused Ramush Haradinaj and Idriz Balaj of all counts, while finding the Accused Lahi Brahimaj guilty of cruel treatment and torture as violations of the laws or customs of war.

6. On 21 July 2010, the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia upheld a prosecution appeal and ordered a partial retrial of the war crimes case against Ramush Haradinaj, Idris Balaj and Lahĭ Brahimaj.
