In that context, we welcome the recent Bonn Peace Implementation Conference, which highlighted the remaining tasks, such as ensuring the effective functioning of joint institutions, the strengthening of trust and cooperation among the three peoples that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the importance of the administration of justice and of respect for human rights.

In accordance with recommendations of the 1997 Bonn Peace Implementation Conference, which were endorsed by the Security Council in its resolution 1168 (1998) of 21 May 1998, UNMIBH has established a Drug Control Unit, an Organized Crime Unit and a Public Order and Critical Incident Management Unit to provide specialized training and advice to the local police.
١٣ - ووفقا لتوصيات مؤتمر بون لتنفيذ السلام لعام ١٩٩٧، التي أقرها مجلس اﻷمن في قراره ١١٦٨ )١٩٩٨( المؤرخ ٢١ أيار/ مايو ١٩٩٨، أنشأت بعثة اﻷمم المتحدة في البوسنة والهرسك وحدة لمراقبة المخدرات، ووحدة للجريمة المنظمة والنظام العام، ووحدة ﻹدارة الحوادث الخطيرة، لتوفير التدريب المتخصص والمشورة للشرطة المحلية.
