" 1. To reaffirm the Security Council's commitment to the sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity and political independence of Chad and to the cause of peace in the region, in the context of the ongoing violence and activities of armed groups in Darfur, eastern Chad and the northeastern Central African Republic.
" 1 - إعادة تأكيد التزام مجلس الأمن بسيادة تشاد ووحدتها وسلامتها الإقليمية واستقلالها السياسي وبقضية السلام في المنطقة، في سياق أعمال العنف الجارية وأنشطة الجماعات المسلحة في دارفور وشرق تشاد وشمال شرق جمهورية أفريقيا الوسطى.

It welcomes the readiness of the European Union, expressed at the meeting of the Council of the European Union held on 23 and 24 July 2007, to consider the establishment of an operation in support of the United Nations presence in eastern Chad and the northeastern Central African Republic.
ويرحب بما أبداه الاتحاد الأوروبي في اجتماع مجلس الاتحاد الأوروبي الذي عقد في 23 و 24 تموز/يوليه 2007 من استعداد للنظر في إمكانية إنشاء عملية لدعم وجود الأمم المتحدة في شرق تشاد وشمال شرق جمهورية أفريقيا الوسطى.

Having examined the report of the SecretaryGeneral of 10 August 2007 (hereinafter referred to as " the report of the SecretaryGeneral " ) and the recommendations for the deployment of an international presence in the regions of eastern Chad and the northeastern Central African Republic indicated in paragraph 37 thereof (hereinafter referred to as " eastern Chad and the northeastern Central African Republic " ),
وقد نظر في تقرير الأمين العام المؤرخ 10 آب/أغسطس 2007() (المشار إليه في ما بعد بـ " تقرير الأمين العام " ) والتوصيات بنشر وجود دولي في منطقتي شرق تشاد وشمال شرق جمهورية أفريقيا الوسطى، كما يرد في الفقرة 37 من التقرير (المشار إليهما في ما بعد بـ " شرق تشاد وشمال شرق جمهورية أفريقيا الوسطى " )،

2. Decides that the multidimensional presence shall include, for a period of one year, a United Nations Mission in the Central African Republic and Chad (the acronym MINURCAT to be used in all languages), with the following mandate in eastern Chad and the northeastern Central African Republic, in liaison with the United Nations country team:
2 - يقرر أن يشمل الوجود المتعدد الأبعاد، لمدة سنة واحدة، بعثة للأمم المتحدة في جمهورية أفريقيا الوسطى وتشاد (اسمها المختصر في جميع اللغات باستثناء اللغة العربية هو MINURCAT)، يعهد إليها، بالاتصال مع فريق الأمم المتحدة القطري، بالولاية التالية في شرق تشاد وشمال شرق جمهورية أفريقيا الوسطى:

" The Council reaffirms its full support for the United Nations Mission in the Central African Republic and Chad and the European Union operation (EUFOR Chad/Central African Republic), whose deployment in eastern Chad and the northeastern Central African Republic was authorized by resolution 1778 (2007), to contribute to the protection of vulnerable civilian populations and to facilitate the provision of humanitarian assistance.
" ويؤكد المجلس من جديد دعمه الكامل لبعثة الأمم المتحدة في جمهورية أفريقيا الوسطى وتشاد وعملية الاتحاد الأوروبي (عملية الاتحاد الأوروبي في تشاد وجمهورية أفريقيا الوسطى) اللتين أذن بنشرهما في شرق تشاد وشمال شرق جمهورية أفريقيا الوسطى بموجب القرار 1778 (2007) من أجل المساهمة في حماية السكان المدنيين الضعفاء وتيسير تقديم المساعدة الإنسانية.
