I would like to refer to General Assembly resolution 58/34, concerning the establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free zone in the Middle East, which was adopted without a vote. The resolution urges all parties directly concerned to take the practical and urgent steps required to establish a nuclear-weapon-free zone in the region of the Middle East and invites the countries concerned to adhere to the Treaty.
وأود الإشارة هنا إلى قرار الجمعية العامة 58/34 بشأن إنشاء منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط والذي اعتمد دون تصويت، ويحث جميع الأطراف المعنية مباشرة على اتخاذ ما يلزم من خطوات عملية عاجلة لجعل الشرق الأوسط منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية، ويدعو الدول المعنية إلى التقيد بمعاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية.

The General Conference has also invited the States concerned to adhere to international non-proliferation regimes, including the Non-Proliferation Treaty, as a means of complementing participation in a zone free of all weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East and of strengthening peace and security in the region.
