In its twenty-sixth report (see annex II), the Eritrea-Ethiopia Boundary Commission affirmed that the boundary between Ethiopia and Eritrea now automatically stands as demarcated by the boundary points (coordinates) listed in the annex to the Commission's Statement of 27 November 2006, and that it considers this decision as binding on the parties.

29. In addition, it should be noted that the scope of application of the above-mentioned Treaty is geographically limited to the area defined by the set of coordinates listed in annex I to the Treaty and represented on the reference map contained in annex II. This area excludes any and all maritime areas and island territories, as well as the coastline as defined in each State party's domestic legislation.
