70. Promoting the protection of the rights of children in conflict with the law is one of the main areas of focus of Defense for Children International and its 41 national sections worldwide.

As part of the Defense for Children International follow-up project on Committee on the Rights of the Child general comment No. 10 (2007), training sessions for professionals and government officials on general comment No. 10 and relevant juvenile justice standards and norms were held in 2008, in particular in Costa Rica, Ghana and Sri Lanka.
