Cluster munition: means a munition that is designed to disperse or release explosive sub-munitions, and includes those explosives sub-munitions.

This Protocol does not apply to munitions which are designed exclusively as anti-runway munitions and that disperse or release explosive sub-munitions each of which weighs more than five kilograms, when used against hard-stand runways, constructed from mass concrete, reinforced concrete, asphalt or a combination of these, or from an equivalent material which yields the same compressive strength.
6- لا ينطبق هذا البروتوكول على الذخائر المصمَّمة حصرياً كذخائر مضادة للمدارج تنثر أو تُطلق ذخائر فرعية متفجرة تزن كل منها أكثر من خمسة كيلوغرامات، وذلك عند استعمالها ضد مدارج صلبة مشيَّدة من الخرسانة الكتلية، أو من الخرسانة المسلحة، أو من الأسفلت، أو من خليط منها، أو من مادة معادلة تحدث مقاومة جهد الضغط نفسها.
