If, after reasonable effort, the carrier is unable to locate the shipper, the carrier may so advise the documentary shipper and request instructions in respect of the delivery of the goods;

A term in the contract of carriage according to which the liability of the shipper or the documentary shipper will cease, wholly or partly, upon a certain event or after a certain time is void:
عندما ينصّ شرط في عقد النقل على أنّ مسؤولية الشاحن أو الشاحن المستندي ستتوقف كليا أو جزئيا عند وقوع حدث معيّن أو بعد وقت معيّن، يكون ذلك الشرط باطلا:

وإذا تعذّر على الناقل، بعد بذل جهد معقول، تحديد مكان الشاحن، وجب على الشاحن المستندي تقديم تلك المعلومات أو التعليمات أو المستندات.

According to paragraph 2 of this article, any term in the contract is void that excludes or limits the obligations and the liability of the shipper, the consignee, the controlling party or the documentary shipper.
20- وفقا للفقرة 2 من هذه المادة، يكون أي شرط في العقد باطلا إذا كان يستبعد واجبات ومسؤولية الشاحن أو المرسل إليه أو الطرف المسيطر أو الشاحن المستندي أو يحدّ منها.

It is not clear that the consent of the documentary shipper or the consignee is required prior to them being responsible for, among other things, the unloading of the goods.
