On the issue of cooperative sectoral approaches and sector-specific actions, presentations made by Parties at the workshop on this subject, held in Accra, Ghana, on 22 August 2008, helped to clarify and deepen understanding of what these terms means, as well as the role of such approaches and actions in enhancing action on mitigation and in promoting the effectiveness of mechanisms and tools for technology cooperation in specific sectors.
