Welcoming in this connection the action of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and of the office which he has established in Burundi,

Emphasis was placed on the need to campaign at all levels for the full ratification of these important international instruments and the participants requested the support of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and of the Centre for Human Rights in this respect.

٢ - اعتمد مشروع المقرر A/C.5/48/L.84 المعنون " توفير الموظفين لمكتب مفوض اﻷمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق اﻹنسان ومركز حقوق اﻹنسان ومهام المكتب والمركز " دون طرحه للتصويت.

توفيــر الموظفيــن لمكتــب مفوض اﻷمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق اﻹنسان ومركز حقوق اﻹنسان ومهام المكتب والمركز )A/48/811/Add.4 )الجزء الخامس(، الفقرة ١٦؛ A/48/PV.102(

The Committee further stated that upon receipt of the information and the finalization of the assessment of the High Commissioner's requirements, the Committee would revert to the consideration of the staffing and functions of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and of the Centre for Human Rights.
وقالت اللجنة كذلك إنه عند تلقي المعلومات ووضع التقديرات النهائية لاحتياجات المفوض السامي، ستنتقل اللجنة الى النظر في ملاك موظفي مكتب مفوض اﻷمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق اﻹنسان ومركز حقوق اﻹنسان، وفي مهام أولئك الموظفين.

That was especially necessary to ensure that there was no unwarranted duplication or conflict between invitations for missions sought or issued or missions undertaken, in respect of the country-specific or thematic mechanisms, of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and of the advisory services programme.
وهذا أمر ضروري بصفة خاصة لضمان عدم وجود أية ازدواجية في الجهود لا داعي لها أو أي تعارض بين الدعوات المطلوبة أو الموجهة ﻹيفاد البعثات أو البعثات المنفذة بالفعل فيما يتعلق باﻵليات القطرية أو الموضوعية او بالنسبة لعمل المفوض السامي لحقوق اﻹنسان ولبرنامج الخدمات الاستشارية.

4. Requests the Secretary-General to make available additional human and financial resources, giving due regard to the need to finance and implement activities of the United Nations related to development, to enhance the capability of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and of the Centre for Human Rights to fulfil effectively their respective mandates;
٤- تطلب إلى اﻷمين العام توفير موارد بشرية ومالية إضافية، مع إيلاء الاعتبار الواجب للحاجة الى التمويل وتنفيذ أنشطة اﻷمم المتحدة المتصلة بالتنمية، لتعزيز قدرة المفوض السامي لحقوق اﻹنسان ومركز حقوق اﻹنسان على أداء الولايات المنوطة بكل منهما على نحو فعال؛

11. Upon receipt of the additional information as requested, and the finalization of the assessment as indicated in paragraph 7 above, the Advisory Committee will revert to the consideration of the staffing and functions of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and of the Centre for Human Rights.
١١ - وفور تلقي المعلومات الاضافية، على النحو المطلوب، واكمال التقييم على النحو المذكور في الفقرة ٧ أعلاه، ستستأنف اللجنة الاستشارية النظر في مسألة توفير الموظفين لمكتب مفوض اﻷمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق اﻹنسان ولمركز حقوق اﻹنسان ومهام المكتب والمركز.

While in Geneva and New York, the Special Representative held consultations with representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran, officials of United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights/Centre for Human Rights and of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and representatives of several non-governmental organizations.
٦١- وأجرى الممثل الخاص أثناء وجوده في جنيف ونيويورك مشاورات مع ممثلي جمهورية ايران الاسلامية، ومع مسؤولين تابعين لمفوض اﻷمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق اﻹنسان/مركز حقوق اﻹنسان ومسؤولين من مفوضية اﻷمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين ومع ممثلي عدة منظمات غير حكومية.

6. The Fifth Committee considered the question of the staffing and functions of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and of the Centre for Human Rights at its 69th and 74th meetings,on 29 June and 19 July.
٦ - نظرت اللجنة الخامسة في مسألة توفير الموظفين لمكتب مفوض اﻷمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق اﻹنسان ومركز حقـوق اﻹنسان ومهام المكتب والمركـز، وذلك فــي جلستيها ٦٩ و ٧٤، المعقودتيــن فــي ٢٩ حزيران/يونيه و ١٩ تموز/يوليه.

The Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions has considered the report of the Secretary-General (A/C.5/48/77) on the staffing and functions of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and of the Centre for Human Rights and met with representatives of the Secretary-General.
١ - نظرت اللجنة الاستشارية لشؤون اﻹدارة والميزانية في تقرير اﻷمين العام (A/C.5/48/77) المتعلق بتوفير الموظفين لمكتب مفوض اﻷمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق اﻹنسان ولمركز حقوق اﻹنسان ومهام المكتب والمركز، واجتمعت بممثلين لﻷمين العام.
