In its resolution 61/221, entitled " Promotion of interreligious and intercultural dialogue, understanding and cooperation for peace " , the General Assembly affirmed that mutual understanding and interreligious dialogue constitute important dimensions of the dialogue among civilizations and of the culture of peace and encouraged initiatives by all actors to promote such dialogue.
1 - أكدت الجمعية العامة في قرارها 61/221، المعنون " تشجيع الحوار والتفاهم والتعاون بين الأديان والثقافات من أجل السلام " ، أن التفاهم المتبادل والحوار بين الأديان يشكلان بعدين هامين من أبعاد الحوار بين الحضارات وثقافة السلام، وشجعت المبادرات التي تضطلع بها جميع الجهات الفاعلة لتعزيز ذلك الحوار.

In subsequent resolutions -- including resolution 53/208, of 18 December 1998 -- the General Assembly affirmed that no document should be distributed until it is available in all official languages.

In its resolution 47/64 A, the General Assembly affirmed once again that the United Nations has a permanent responsibility with respect to the question of Palestine until the question is resolved in all its aspects in a satisfactory manner in accordance with international legitimacy.

In resolution 57/295 the General Assembly affirmed the need to use information and communication technologies as a strategic tool to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness and impact of the development programmes and technical cooperation activities of the United Nations system.
وقد أكدت الجمعية العامة في القرار 57/295 الحاجة إلى استعمال تكنولوجيات المعلومات والاتصالات بوصفها أداة استراتيجية لتعزيز كفاءة وفعالية وآثار البرامج الإنمائية وأنشطة التعاون التقني التي تقوم بها منظومة الأمم المتحدة.

At its fifty-ninth session, the General Assembly affirmed the necessary requirements for the realization of a democratic and equitable international order; and decided to continue consideration of the matter at its sixty-first session (resolution 59/193).

460. In its resolution 56/206, the General Assembly affirmed that the Advisory Committee of Local Authorities was an advisory body to the Executive Director of the Programme.
460 - وأكدت الجمعية العامة في قرارها 56/206 أن اللجنة الاستشارية للسلطات المحلية هي هيئة استشارية للمدير التنفيذي للبرنامج.

5. In its resolution 66/255, the General Assembly affirmed the fundamental principle of national ownership and stressed the importance of supporting national civilian capacity development and institution-building, including through peacekeeping operations in accordance with their mandates.
