It is for this reason that the Ghana delegation urges all member States and donor organizations to pay their contributions on time, so that the Agency will be financially able to continue with this much needed and greatly appreciated programme.

In the light of these developments, the Ghana delegation takes the view that it is now time for the international community to address itself to specific aspects of the oceans and related issues affecting Member States, particularly developing countries.

To conclude, the Ghana delegation will, therefore, also count on the leadership and commitment that the President has demonstrated so far, in particular the interest he has shown in the issue of Security Council reform, in reaching that goal.
لذا، أخلص إلى القول إنّ وفد غانا سيعوِّل أيضاً على القيادة والالتزام اللذين أثبتهما الرئيس حتى الآن، ولا سيّما الاهتمام الذي أظهره بمسألة إصلاح مجلس الأمن، في تحقيق هذا الهدف.

The Ghana delegation, in light of the aforesaid, is pleased to note that part V of the Secretary-General's report (A/52/487) focuses at length on the development of marine resources and the protection of the marine environment, an issue of utmost concern to our delegation.
وفي ضوء ما تقدم، يسر وفد غانا أن يلاحظ أن الباب الخامس من تقرير اﻷمين العام ]A/52/487[ يركز باستفاضة على تنمية الموارد البحرية وحماية البيئة البحرية، وهي قضية ذات أهمية قصوى لوفد بلدي.

The Ghana delegation welcomes the adoption of the resolution without a vote as yet another expression of the commitment of the international community not only to restore peace and security in the territory of the former Yugoslavia, but also to guarantee the world against a recurrence of such unbridled violation of international humanitarian law, even in the event of a breakdown of law and order.
إن وفد غانا يرحب باتخاذ القرار دون تصويت، كتعبير آخر عن التزام المجتمع الدولي ليس فقط باستعادة السلم واﻷمن في إقليم يوغوسلافيا السابقة، ولكن أيضا بضمان بقاء العالم بعيدا عن تكرار وقوع هذا الانتهاك المطلق العنان للقانون اﻹنساني الدولي، حتى في حال انهيار القانون والنظام.
