In the preambular part of draft resolution I the General Assembly would reaffirm its conviction that the progressive harmonization and unification of international trade law would significantly contribute to universal economic cooperation among all States and to the elimination of discrimination in international trade and, thereby, to the well-being of all peoples.
في ديباجة مشروع القرار اﻷول، تؤكد الجمعية العامة من جديد اقتناعها بأن من شأن التنسيق والتوحيد التدريجيين للقانون التجاري الدولي أن يسهما إسهاما كبيرا في التعاون الاقتصادي الشامل فيما بين جميع الدول، وفي القضاء على التمييز في التجارة الدولية، ومن ثم، في رفاه الشعوب قاطبة.

It was therefore crucial for the Commission to reach out to developing countries in order to familiarize their relevant institutions with the Commission's work and to enable them to participate more effectively in its working groups and in the overall harmonization and unification of international trade law.

It was also observed that, in the context of work by the Commission, many States had accepted to change their laws in order to benefit from the harmonization and unification of international trade law.

70. As for the Commission's working methods, it was imperative to find ways of ensuring more effective participation by developing countries in the working groups and in the overall harmonization and unification of international trade law.
70 - وأشار إلى أنه فيما يتعلق بأساليب عمل اللجنة، لا بد من إيجاد السبل التي تكفل مشاركة البلدان النامية على نحو أكثر فعالية في الأفرقة العاملة وفي مواءمة القانون التجاري الدولي وتوحيده على نحو شامل.

The General Assembly also stressed the importance of bringing into effect the conventions emanating from the work of the Commission to further the progressive harmonization and unification of international trade law, and to this end urged States that have not yet done so to consider signing, ratifying or acceding to those conventions.
3- وأكّدت الجمعية العامة أيضا على أهمية تفعيل الاتفاقيات المنبثقة من أعمال اللجنة من أجل تعزيز العمل على مواءمة القانون التجاري الدولي وتوحيده باطّراد، وتحقيقا لهذه الغاية، حثّت الدول التي لم توقّع بعدُ تلك الاتفاقيات أو تصدّق عليها أو تنضم إليها على النظر في القيام بذلك.
