The Assembly would draw the attention of Governments to the importance for the International Law Commission of having their views on the draft articles and commentary on diplomatic protection and on the draft principles on allocation of loss in the case of transboundary harm arising out of hazardous activities, both of which were adopted at the fifty-sixth session of the Commission in 2004.

In its resolution 52/156 of 15 December 1997, the General Assembly took note of the Commission's preliminary conclusions and of its invitation to all treaty bodies set up by normative multilateral treaties that might wish to do so to provide, in writing, their comments and observations on the conclusions, while drawing the attention of Governments to the importance for the Commission of having their views on the preliminary conclusions.
وأحاطت الجمعية العامة علماً، في قرارها 52/156 المؤرخ 15 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 1997، بالاستنتاجات الأولية للجنة وبالدعوة التي وجهتها إلى جميع الهيئات المنشأة بموجب معاهدات شارعة متعددة الأطراف التي قد ترغب في أن تقدم كتابةً تعليقاتها وملاحظاتها على هذه الاستنتاجات إلى القيام بذلك، ووجهت نظر الحكومات إلى ما يتسم به الإدلاء بآرائها بشأن الاستنتاجات الأولية من أهمية للجنة.
