According to decisions 8/COP.8 and 13/COP.9 each Party and subregional and/or regional entity reporting shall report to the session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC) held between ordinary sessions of the Conference of the Parties (COP), through the secretariat, on the measures which it has taken for the implementation of The Strategy and the Convention.

41. In accordance with decision 11/COP.9, the CRIC shall report regularly to the COP on all aspects of its work, including through a final report on sessions held between ordinary sessions of the COP, containing its recommendations on further steps to facilitate effective implementation of the Convention.

6. By its decision 11/COP.9, the COP decided that at sessions held between ordinary sessions of the COP, the CRIC should focus its work on the review of the implementation of the Convention through, inter alia:

Accredited civil society organizations (CSOs) are also invited to organize themselves to prepare collaborative reports on their work for the implementation of the Convention, especially through the provision of best practices, for transmission to the sessions of the CRIC held between ordinary sessions of the COP and the focal points of the countries.
