1. Ms. Jahangir (Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief), introducing her interim report (A/63/161), said that the Human Rights Council had in December 2007 reorganized and improved the terms of reference of her mandate according to four main axes.

86. At the 8th meeting, on 2 August 2005, Leïla Zerrougui, Special Rapporteur on discrimination in the criminal justice system, introduced her interim report (E/CN.4/Sub.2/2005/7).

2. In her interim report (A/60/399), the Special Rapporteur had developed two issues of concern to her mandate: first, the right to adopt a religion of one's choice, to change or to maintain a religion or not to have a religion at all, and second, the freedom of religion or belief of persons deprived of their liberty.

In her interim report on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, Asma Jahangir, Special Rapporteur to the Commission on Human Rights, submitted by the Secretary-General to the General Assembly at its fifty-fifth session (A/55/288), went further.
