" (أ) أن تكفل أن يكون أعضاء لجنة حقوق الطفل من ذوي المكانة الخلقية الرفيعة والكفاءة المعترف بها في الميدان الذي تشمله الاتفاقية وأن يعملوا بصفتهم الشخصية، على أن يراعى التوزيع الجغرافي العادل وكذلك النظم القانونية الرئيسية؛

1 - يعمل أعضاء اللجنة بصفتهم الشخصية ويكونون من المشهود لهم بالأخلاق العالية والمعترف لهم بالكفاءة والخبرة في الميدان الذي تغطيه هذه الاتفاقية.

The Committee stresses the importance of the Addis Ababa Guidelines and considers them to be compatible with article 34 (3) of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which establishes that the members of the Committee shall serve in their personal capacities and shall be of high moral standing and recognized competence and experience in the field covered by the present Convention.
2- وتؤكد اللجنة أهمية مبادئ أديس أبابا التوجيهية، وتعتبرها متوافقة مع المادة 34(3) من اتفاقية حقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة التي تنص على أن أعضاء اللجنة يجب أن يعملوا بصفتهم الشخصية ويكونوا من المشهود لهم بالأخلاق العالية والمعترف لهم بالكفاءة والخبرة في الميدان الذي تغطيه هذه الاتفاقية.
