53. The Secretary-General of UNCTAD has received responses to his note verbale from nine Governments and the Commission of the European Communities.
٥٣ - وقد تلقى اﻷمين العام لﻷونكتاد ردودا على مذكرته الشفوية من تسع حكومات ولجنة المجتمعات اﻷوروبية.

In his note verbale dated 11 March 1983, the Secretary-General brought that paragraph to the attention of Member States, particularly with respect to the newly mandated and expanded activities of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications.
ووجه اﻷمين العام، في مذكرته الشفوية المؤرخة ١١ آذار/مارس ١٩٨٣، انتباه الدول اﻷعضاء إلى تلك الفقرة ولا سيما فيما يتعلق بأنشطة برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة للتطبيقات الفضائية، التي صدر بها تكليف أو تم توسيعها حديثا.

1. The present addendum contains additional nominations for election to the Committee on the Rights of the Child, received after 25 October 2000, which was the date referred to by the Secretary-General in his note verbale dated 25 August 2000, in conformity with article 43, paragraph 4, of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

7. As requested by resolution 56/190, the Secretary-General, in his note verbale dated 30 April 2002, solicited the views of Member States regarding modalities, the nature and the timing of the dialogue.

He also noted that, contrary to what had been requested in the statement by the previous speaker, the dialogue could not touch upon all unresolved issues, since most of them fell within the exclusive competence of the Secretary-General and his Special Representative, as the latter had made clear in his note verbale of 19 October 1993.
