In terms of legal follow-up and prosecution of perpetrators, the United Nations relies on Member States to fulfil their obligations under the relevant international legal instruments to exercise their jurisdiction to investigate the crimes and prosecute the perpetrators of attacks against United Nations peacekeepers, in accordance with their national laws.
