There is also another situation that impedes development and peace in the Arab territories that have been under Israeli occupation since 1967, including the city of Al-Quds where the Israeli authorities are trying to change the demographic composition and efface all Arab characteristics through the confiscation of land and the building of settlements.
هناك وضع آخر يعيق التنمية والسلام في اﻷراضي العربية المحتلة من قبل اسرائيل عام ١٩٦٧، ومنها مدينة القدس، التي تعمل السلطات الاسرائيلية منذ احتلالها على تغيير تركيبتها السكانية ومظاهرها العربية عن طريق مصادرة اﻷراضي وبناء المستوطنات فيها وفي اﻷراضي العربية اﻷخرى، بما فيها الجولان السورية.

Strongly deplores the continuation and persistence of Israel in pursuing those policies and practices and calls upon the Government and people of Israel to rescind those measures, to dismantle the existing settlements and in particular to cease, on an urgent basis, the establishment, construction and planning of settlements in the Arab territories occupied since 1967, including Jerusalem; "

Fourthly, the proliferation of Israeli colonialist settlements in the Arab territories and the exploitation by the settlers of the Arab and Palestinian resources, especially the resource of water and agricultural land in such a manner that Israeli settlers today represent a continuous daily threat to the livelihoods, security and peaceful existence of the Arab population in those areas.
رابعا، انتشـــار المستوطنـــات الاسرائيليـــة الاستعماريـة في اﻷراضي العربية مستغلة الموارد الطبيعية التي يملكهــا أبناء الشعب العربي والفلسطيني، خاصة مـــوارد الميـــاه واﻷراضي الزراعية وغيرها. حتى أصبـــح المستوطنـون الاسرائيليون يشكلون تهديدا يوميا ومستمرا ﻷمن وحياة المواطن العربي في تلك المناطق.

Based on its eagerness for the peace process in the Middle East to continue, the State of Bahrain appeals to the international community, particularly to the two sponsors of the peace process and to the States of the European Community, to urge Israel to halt its repressive practices against the Palestinian people, implemented through aggression, expansion and settlement in the Arab territories.
