In addition to requesting its wide dissemination, the General Assembly may wish to consider how best to use the outcome document to inform and buttress further decision-making on how to build an effective multilateral mechanism for cooperation in the field of international migration. Notes

23. Over the past years, the United Nations regional commissions have been engaged in a growing number of activities in the field of international migration and development.
23 - ظلت اللجان الإقليمية للأمم المتحدة تشارك، طوال السنوات الماضية، في عدد ما انفك يزداد من الأنشطة في مجال الهجرة الدولية والتنمية.

The most crucial questions to be faced were how to control and manage the migratory flows to and within Europe in a humane and effective way, and how to achieve a desirable level of integration. It was felt that there was a clear need for increased cooperation within Europe in the field of international migration.
