The United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan (UNMISS) was requested to conduct an aerial survey during its routine flights in the area and several rapid humanitarian assessments were conducted by UNMISS on 5 and 6 September.

On 9 November, the United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan (UNMISS) was informed by Government of South Sudan officials that up to nine bombs had been dropped in the area of New Quffa and Yafta, in Maban county, Upper Nile state, very near the border with Blue Nile State.
