31. According to subparagraph 3 (a), an electronic signature must be capable of identifying the signatory and indicating the signatory's intention in respect of the information contained in the electronic communication.

32. The formulation of subparagraph 3 (b) differs slightly from the wording of article 7, paragraph 1, of the UNCITRAL Model Law on Electronic Commerce, where reference is made to an indication of the signatory's " approval " of the information contained in the electronic communication.
