10. Encourages the Secretary-General to promote cooperation among Member States, the United Nations, regional and subregional organizations and other relevant organizations to collect, review and share information on combating illicit arms flows, especially regarding small arms, and to make available, as appropriate, information about the nature and general scope of the International illicit arms trade with and in Africa;
١٠ - يشجع اﻷمين العام على تعزيز التعاون فيما بين الدول اﻷعضاء، واﻷمم المتحدة، والمنظمات اﻹقليمية ودون اﻹقليمية وغيرها من المنظمات ذات الصلة في سبيل جمع واستعراض وتبادل المعلومات المتعلقة بمكافحة التدفقات غير المشروعة لﻷسلحة، ولا سيما فيما يتعلق باﻷسلحة الصغيرة، وإتاحة المعلومات، عند الاقتضاء، عن طبيعة التجارة الدولية غير المشروعة باﻷسلحة مع أفريقيا وفيها وعن النطاق العام لهذه التجارة؛

٥ - تقرر أن تدرج في جدول اﻷعمال المؤقت لدورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين بندا عنوانه " اﻹتجار غير المشروع باﻷسلحة على الصعيد الدولي " .

9. On 31 October, Colombia submitted a draft decision entitled " International illicit arms traffic " (A/C.1/49/L.6), which read as follows:
٩ - في ٣١ تشرين اﻷول/اكتوبر، قدمت كولومبيا مشروع مقرر بعنوان " الاتجار غير المشروع باﻷسلحة على الصعيد الدولي " )A/C.1/49/L.6(، نصه كما يلي:

This new item, which came to the Disarmament Commission agenda in accordance with General Assembly resolution 48/77 A, is aimed at re-examining and strengthening the existing regime for the eradication of the international illicit trade in conventional arms, and at identifying possible new methods and measures to bring International illicit arms trafficking to an end.
وهــذا البند الجديد - الذي أدرج في جدول أعمال هيئة نزع السلاح وفقا لقرار الجمعية العامة ٤٨/٧٧ ألف - يهدف إلـى إعادة دراسة وتعزيز النظام القائم للقضاء على الاتجار غير المشروع باﻷسلحة التقليديــة، ووضع الوسائل والتدابير الجديدة الممكنة ﻹنهاء الاتجار غير المشروع باﻷسلحة على الصعيد الدولي.
