Iraq has also voted in favour of the resolutions adopted by the international community in this regard and, for many years, has taken a firm political stand against the policy of racial discrimination and segregation. Some of Iraq's international obligations are illustrated by the following:
٥٣- لذلك تعاون العراق مع المجموعة الدولية في مناهضة الفصل العنصري أينما وجد وصوت إلى القرارات التي تبنتها المجموعة الدولية في هذا الميدان وتبنى لسنوات طويلة نهجاً سياسيا ثابتا ضد سياسة التمييز والفصل العنصري وفيما يلي جانب من التزامات العراق الدولية:

ICRN recommended creating institutional mechanisms to implement Iraq's international obligations regarding child rights and putting in place mechanisms through which to hold accountable those responsible for violating children's rights.
7- وأوصت الشبكة العراقية لحقوق الطفل بإنشاء آليات مؤسسية لتنفيذ التزامات العراق الدولية فيما يتعلق بحقوق الطفل(23) ووضع آليات معينة موضع التنفيذ يُحاسب بواسطتها المسؤولون عن انتهاك حقوق الأطفال(24).

The Iraqi Constitution, article 9, paragraph 5, provides that the Iraqi Government shall respect and implement Iraq's international obligations regarding the non-proliferation, non-development, non-production, and non-use of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons, and shall prohibit associated equipment, materiel, technologies, and delivery systems for use in the development, manufacture, production, and use of such weapons.

Article 9, paragraph 1 (e), provides that " the Iraqi Government shall respect and implement Iraq's international obligations regarding the non-proliferation, non-development, non-production, and non-use of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and associated equipment, materiel, technologies and delivery systems for use in the development, manufacture, production and use of such weapons " .
وقد نصت المادة التاسعة/أولا - الفقرة هـ/ على أن " تحترم الحكومة العراقية، وتنفذ، التزامات العراق الدولية الخاصة بمنع انتشار وتطوير وإنتاج واستخدام الأسلحة النووية والكيمياوية والبيولوجية، ويمنع ما يتصل بتطويرها وتصنيعها وإنتاجها واستخدامها من معدات ومواد وتكنولوجيا وأنظمة للاتصال " .

(E) The Iraqi Transitional Government shall respect and implement Iraq's international obligations regarding the non-proliferation, non-development, non-production, and non-use of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons, and associated equipment, materiel, technologies, and delivery systems for use in the development, manufacture, production, and use of such weapons;
" تحترم الحكومة العراقية المؤقتة وتنفذ التزامات العراق الدولية الخاصة بمنع الانتشار وتطوير وإنتاج واستخدام الأسلحة النووية والكيميائية والبيولوجية ومنع ما يتصل بتطويرها وتصنيعها وإنتاجها واستخدامها من معدات ومواد وتكنولوجيا وأنظمة للإيصال " .

Article 29 (e) of the 2004 Law of Administration for the State of Iraq for the Transitional Period states that the Iraqi Transitional Government shall respect and implement Iraq's international obligations regarding the non-proliferation, non-development, non-production, and non-use of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, and associated equipment, materiel, technologies and delivery systems.
تضمنت الفقرة (هـ) من المادة السابعة والعشرين من قانون إدارة الدولة للمرحلة الانتقالية لعام 2004 بأن تحترم الحكومة العراقية الانتقالية وتنفذ التزامات العراق الدولية الخاصة بمنع انتشار وتطوير وإنتاج واستخدام الأسلحة النووية والكيمياوية والبيولوجية ومنع ما يتصل بتطويرها وتصنيعها وإنتاجها واستخدامها من معدات ومواد وتكنولوجيا وأنظمة للإيصال.

In this context, I note that article 9 of the Iraqi Constitution states: " The Iraqi Government shall respect and implement Iraq's international obligations in the sphere of the non-proliferation, non-development and non-production of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, and shall prohibit associated equipment, materiel, technologies, and delivery systems for use in the development, manufacture, production, and use of such weapons. "
وفي هذا السياق، أود الإشارة إلى المادة 9 (هـ) من الدستور العراقي التي تنص على ما يلي: " تحترم الحكومة العراقية، وتنفذ التزامات العراق الدولية الخاصة بمنع انتشار وتطويل وإنتاج واستخدام الأسلحة النووية والكيماوية والبيولوجية، ويمنع ما يتصل بتطويرها وتصنيعها وإنتاجها واستخدامها من معدات وتكنولوجيا وأنظمة للإيصال " .
