In that connection, the Special Committee, at its previous session, held from 27 February to 17 March 2006, had reviewed the implementation of its previous proposals and considered new proposals in order to enhance the capacity of the United Nations to fulfil its responsibilities in the field of peacekeeping operations.

The General Assembly, in its resolution 63/280, decided that the Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations, in accordance with its mandate, should review the implementation of its previous proposals and consider any new proposals so as to enhance the capacity of the United Nations to fulfil its responsibilities in the field of peacekeeping.
لقد قررت الجمعية العامة في قرارها 63/280 أن تستعرض اللجنة الخاصة المعنية بعمليات حفظ السلام، وفقا لولايتها، تنفيذ مقترحاتها السابقة أن تنظر في تقديم أي مقترحات جديدة لتعزيز قدرة الأمم المتحدة على الوفاء بمسؤولياتها في ميدان حفظ السلام.
