At its forty-second session, the Committee will undertake a triennial review of the implementation of recommendations made by the Committee at its thirty-ninth session on the evaluation of the programme on disarmament and on the electoral assistance programme.

Some delegations expressed the view that the agreement reached by the Subcommittee at its thirty-ninth session on the question of the character and utilization of the geostationary orbit was an important basis for promoting international cooperation to ensure that the principle of equity would be applied and that all States would have access to the geostationary orbit.
87- وأبدت بعض الوفود رأيا بأن الاتفاق الذي توصلت إليه اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها التاسعة والثلاثين بشأن مسألة طبيعة المدار الثابت بالنسبة إلى الأرض واستغلاله هو أساس هام لتعزيز التعاون الدولي ولضمان تطبيق مبدأ العدالة وأن يتاح لجميع الدول النفاذ إلى المدار الثابت بالنسبة إلى الأرض.

In resolution 38/8 (Equal pay for equal work and work of equal value), the Commission calls upon Governments, non-governmental organizations and the international community to take steps to give effect to the principle of equal pay for work of equal value and requests the Secretary-General to report to the Commission at its thirty-ninth session on national experience in this regard.
