In that resolution, the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to place before the Commission, at each of its sessions, a report on the legal activities of international organizations in the field of international trade law, together with recommendations as to the steps to be taken by the Commission to fulfil its mandate of coordinating the activities of other organizations in that field.

Particular note was taken of paragraph 4 of General Assembly resolution 60/20, by which the Assembly endorsed the efforts and initiatives of the Commission aimed at increasing coordination of and cooperation on legal activities of international and regional organizations active in the field of international trade law and appealed to those organizations to coordinate their legal activities with those of the Commission.

27. The Advisory Committee notes that a large number of personnel will provide legal services in the Office of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and under the governance and public administration component (see, for example, A/54/769, paras. 52-57, 90, 91 and 96 (g)). The Committee requests that efforts be made to ensure that there will be no duplication in the various legal activities of the mission.
27 - وتلاحظ اللجنة الاستشارية أن عددا كبيرا من الموظفين سيقدمون خدمات قانونية في مكتب الممثل الخاص للأمين العام وفي إطار عنصر الحكم والإدارة العامة (انظر على سبيل المثال A/54/769، الفقرات 52 إلى 57 و 90 و 91 و 95 (ز)) وتطلب اللجنة بذل الجهود للتأكد من عدم وجود ازدواجية في مختلف الأنشطة القانونية للبعثة.
