27. The Governments of Algeria, Egypt and Sudan reported on their regular participation in the meetings of HONLEA, Africa.
27- وأبلغت حكومات الجزائر والسودان ومصر عن مشاركتها المنتظمة في اجتماعات هونليا أفريقيا.

It was noted that meetings of HONLEA played an important role in strengthening bilateral communication between national law enforcement agencies, which was essential to efforts to counter drug trafficking operations.
ولوحظ أن اجتماعات هونليا تؤدي دورا هاما في تعزيز الاتصال الثنائي بين أجهزة إنفاذ القوانين الوطنية، الذي يعتبر أساسيا بالنسبة لجهود التصدي لعمليات الاتجار بالمخدرات.

17. States participating in the Meeting of HONLEA, Africa, should encourage law enforcement agencies from primary source countries in other regions to participate as observers in meetings of HONLEA, Africa, and similar regional events and to share experience and recommendations with a view to strengthening direct operational cooperation.
17- ينبغي للدول المشاركة في اجتماع هونليا في أفريقيا أن تشجّع أجهزة إنفاذ القانون في بلدان المنشأ الرئيسية في المناطق الأخرى على المشاركة بصفة مراقب في اجتماعات هونليا في أفريقيا وفي الأنشطة الإقليمية المشابهة، وعلى تبادل الخبرات والتوصيات بغية تعزيز التعاون العملياتي المباشر.

In its resolution 1988/15 of 25 May 1988, the Council had requested the Secretary-General to take the necessary measures to convene the regional meetings of HONLEA at the capitals of States in the respective region that might wish to act as host or at the headquarters of the regional commission concerned.
كما طلب المجلس، في قراره 1988/15 المؤرخ 25 أيار/مايو 1988، إلى الأمين العام أن يتخذ ما يلزم من تدابير لعقد اجتماعات هونليا أفريقيا في عواصم دول المنطقة التي قد ترغب في استضافتها، أو في مقر اللجنة الإقليمية المعنية.

It was noted that the newly established African Police Cooperation Organization (AFRIPOL) should be invited to future meetings of HONLEA, Africa.
وذُكر أنَّ منظمة التعاون بين أجهزة الشرطة الأفريقية (الأفريبول)، المنشأة حديثاً، ينبغي أن تُدعى في المستقبل إلى اجتماعات " هونليا " ، أفريقيا.
