The theme of the Forum was " minorities and effective participation in economic life " which covered issues such as land, property and housing rights, the right to work and social security, meaningful consultation and participation of minorities in economic development plans and national budget allocation, the MDGs, national development strategies including Poverty Reduction Strategy papers (PRSPs); and affirmative action in the workplace.
