وإذ يلاحظ مع القلق أن خطر الإرهاب قد أصبح أكثر انتشارا، حيث تشهد مختلف مناطق العالم زيادة في الأعمال الإرهابية، بما فيها الأعمال المرتكبة بدافع التعصب أو التطرف، وإذ يعرب عن تصميمه على مكافحة هذا التهديد،

" (a) To take all necessary and effective measures to prevent and eliminate all forms of violence and discrimination motivated by intolerance or prejudice of any kind;

(a) To take all necessary and effective measures to prevent and eliminate all forms of violence and discrimination motivated by intolerance or prejudice of any kind;

The Council notes with deep concern that terrorism continues to pose a serious threat to international peace and security, the enjoyment of human rights and the social and economic development of States and undermines global stability and prosperity in Africa and, in particular, that this threat has become more diffuse, with an increase, in various regions of the world, of terrorist acts including those motivated by intolerance and extremism.
ويلاحظ المجلس ببالغ القلق أن الإرهاب لا يزال يشكل تهديدا خطيرا للسلام والأمن الدوليين والتمتع بحقوق الإنسان والتنمية الاجتماعية والاقتصادية للدول، وأنه يقوض الاستقرار العالمي والرخاء في أفريقيا، ولا سيما في ظل زيادة تفشي هذا التهديد، مع تعاظم الأعمال الإرهابية في مختلف مناطق العالم، بما في ذلك الأعمال المرتكبة بدافع التعصب والتطرف.

Deeply concerned by the increasing number of victims, especially among civilians of diverse nationalities and beliefs, caused by terrorism motivated by intolerance or extremism in various regions of the world, reaffirming its profound solidarity with the victims of terrorism and their families, and stressing the importance of assisting victims of terrorism and providing them and their families with support to cope with their loss and grief,
وإذ يساوره بالغ القلق إزاء تزايد عدد الضحايا، وبخاصة في صفوف المدنيين من شتى الجنسيات والعقائد، بسبـب أعمال الإرهاب المرتكبة بدافع التعصب أو التطرف في مناطق مختلفة من العالم، وإذ يؤكد من جديد تضامنه القوي مع ضحايا الإرهاب وأسرهم؛ وإذ يؤكد أهمية مساعدة ضحايا الإرهاب وتوفير الدعم لهم ولأسرهم للتغلب على مشاعر الفقدان والحزن،
