This draft resolution reflects the concern of the countries of the Middle East, in fact the whole of the international community, with regard to the danger resulting from the possibility of the proliferation of nuclear weapons in the Middle East and the continued existence of nuclear facilities in the region that are not subject to the comprehensive safeguards regime of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
يعكس مشروع القرار هذا قلق دول منطقة الشرق الأوسط، بل والمجتمع الدولي بأسره، من الخطر الناجم عن احتمال انتشار الأسلحة النووية في الشرق الأوسط، ومن استمرار وجود منشآت نووية بالمنطقة غير خاضعة لنظام الضمانات الشاملة للوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية.
