3. Resolution No. 472, which was adopted in Doha on 30 March 2009 at the twenty-first session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level, endorsed the Arab strategy for the peaceful uses of nuclear energy to 2020, which was drafted by the Arab Atomic Energy Agency in 2008.

At the Third Africa-Arab Summit, held in Kuwait in November 2013, note was taken of the institution of an annual Kuwaiti $1 million prize for development research in Africa; intelligence cooperation through the African Centre for Studies and Research on Terrorism established in Algiers; and the decision of the League of Arab States at the summit level to establish an Arab court of human rights headquartered in Bahrain.
55 - وفي مؤتمر القمة الأفريقي - العربي الثالث، الذي عقد في الكويت في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2013، أُحيطَ علماً بتخصيص جائزة كويتية سنوية قدرها مليون دولار للبحث الإنمائي في أفريقيا؛ وبالتعاون الاستخباراتي عن طريق المركز الأفريقي للبحوث المتعلقة بالإرهاب الذي أنشئ في الجزائر؛ وبالقرار الذي اتخذته جامعة الدول العربية على مستوى القمة لإنشاء محكمة عربية لحقوق الإنسان تتخذ من البحرين مقراً لها.

At the 18th session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level, held in Khartoum in 2006, the Arab States issued a statement announcing action at the national and regional levels to develop programmes for the peaceful uses of nuclear technology in order to achieve development in every area.

3. In 2008, the Arab Atomic Energy Agency, a technical branch of the League of Arab States, finished drafting the Arab strategy for the peaceful uses of nuclear energy to 2020. The Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level endorsed that strategy at its 21st session in Doha by virtue of resolution 472 of 30 March 2009.
