57. By its decision 22/COP.2, the COP decided to consider at its third session the establishment of an open-ended ad hoc group to examine and make recommendations on the issues of arbitration and conciliation procedures, taking into account the document prepared by the secretariat.
57- قرر مؤتمر الأطراف، في مقرره 22/م أ-2 أن ينظر في دورته الثالثة في إنشاء فريق مخصص مفتوح العضوية لدراسة مسائل إجراءات التحكيم والتوفيق وتقديم توصيات بشأنها، مع مراعاة الوثيقة التي أعدتها الأمانة.

3. Decides also to consider at the third session of the Conference of the Parties the establishment of an open-ended ad hoc group to examine and make recommendations on the issues of arbitration and conciliation procedures, taking into account the document prepared by the secretariat ICCD/COP(2)/10.

5- وفيما يتعلق بوضع إجراءات التحكيم والتوفيق، خلص فريق الخبراء المخصص إلى أن كيفية وضع إجراءات التحكيم والتوفيق ومضمونها بمقتضى أحكام الاتفاقات البيئية المتعددة الأطراف قد حددا بدقة في صكوك قانونية سابقة ولا مجال للجدال بشأنهما، وأن مهمة وضع هذه الإجراءات هي مهمة فنية بصفة جوهرية.

18. As stated by the Chair of the AHGE at COP 5, the design and content of arbitration and conciliation procedures under multilateral environmental agreements have numerous precedents and are uncontroversial, and the task of developing such procedures is essentially a technical one.
