وإذ تسلﱢم بما حققه المجتمع الدولي من إنجازات هامة في القضاء على الاستعمار وفقا لﻹعلان، وإذ تعي أهمية مواصلة التنفيذ الفعال لﻹعلان آخذة في الاعتبار الهدف الذي حددته اﻷمم المتحدة للقضاء على الاستعمار بحلول عام ٠٠٠٢،
