وعبرت الجمعية العامة عن تشجيعها لاستخدام التحليل الجنساني كأداة لإدماج البُعد الإنساني في التخطيط لتنفيذ السياسات والاستراتيجيات والبرامج، وأكدت على دور القروض الصغيرة للغاية باعتبارها أداة هامة في مكافحة الفقر ومن شأنها تشجيع الإنتاج والعمالة الذاتيــة وتمكين النساء اللائي يعشن في فقــر.

In its resolution 58/222 of 23 December 2003, on the implementation of the Decade for the Eradication of Poverty, the Assembly encouraged the use of gender analysis as a tool for the integration of a gender dimension into planning the implementation of policies, strategies and programmes for the eradication of poverty.
وفي قرارها 58/222 المؤرخ 23 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2003، بشأن تنفيذ عقد القضاء على الفقر، حثت الجمعية على استخدام التحليل الجنساني كأداة لإدماج العنصر الجنساني في التخطيط لأغراض تنفيذ السياسات والاستراتيجيات والبرامج الرامية إلى القضاء على الفقر.
