14. As regards implementation of paragraph 7 of the annex to resolution 51/241, the President of the General Assembly, after consideration by the Assembly of the report of the Secretary-General on the work of the Organization, shall inform the Assembly of his assessment of the debate on the report in order for the Assembly to determine the need for further action.

With reference to operative paragraph 3 of that resolution, I wish to inform you that the Transitional Administrator, Mr. Jacques Paul Klein, has today informed me of his assessment that the military component of UNTAES has been deployed and is ready to undertake its mission of demilitarization of the Region of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium.
وأود أن أبلغكم، باﻹحالة الى الفقرة ٣ من منطوق ذلك القرار، أن السيد جاك بول كلاين، رئيس اﻹدارة الانتقالية، قد أطلعني اليوم على تقييمه الذي يفيد بأن العنصر العسكري " ﻹدارة اﻷمم المتحدة الانتقالية لسلافونيا الشرقية وبارانيا وسيرميوم الغربية " قد نُشر وبأنه على أهبة الاستعداد للقيام بمهمته المتمثلة في تجريد منطقة سلافونيا الشرقية وبارانيا وسيرميوم الغربية من السلاح.
