In light of its previous recommendation (CRC/C/COD/CO/2, para.17), the Committee urges the State party to accelerate the adoption process of the bill creating a national human rights institution and to ensure that the institution complies with the Paris Principles (General Assembly resolution 48/134, annex) and is provided with the necessary human, financial and technical resources to fulfil its mandate.
