The terms and conditions upon which the premises are made available to the Authority by the Government of Jamaica are established in a supplementary agreement to the Agreement of 26 August 1999 between the International Seabed Authority and the Government of Jamaica regarding the headquarters of the Authority.

3/ It is to be noted that during the consideration of the draft agreement between the International Seabed Authority and the Government of Jamaica regarding the Headquarters of the International Seabed Authority (LOS/PCN/WP.49/Rev.2), consultations were held with the representatives of the Government of Jamaica with regard to the terms and conditions of the use and occupation by the Authority of office and conference premises.

5/ It is to be noted that during the consideration of the final draft agreement between the International Seabed Authority and the Government of Jamaica regarding the Headquarters of the International Seabed Authority (LOS/PCN/WP.47/Rev.2) consultations were held with the representatives of the Government of Jamaica with regard to the terms and conditions of the use and occupation by the Authority of office and conference premises.

During the tenth session, the Finance Committee examined the Supplementary Agreement between the International Seabed Authority and the Government of Jamaica regarding the headquarters of the Authority and the use of Jamaica Conference Centre,8 and decided to recommend it to the Council and the Assembly for approval.

20. The Assembly expressed its satisfaction at the conclusion of the Supplementary Headquarters Agreement between the International Seabed Authority and the Government of Jamaica regarding the headquarters of the International Seabed Authority and the use of the Jamaica Conference Centre complex (see ISBA/10/A/2-ISBA/10/C/2).
20 - وأعربت الجمعية عن ارتياحها إزاء إبرام الاتفاق التكميلي بين السلطة الدولية لقاع البحار وحكومة جامايكا بشأن مقر السلطة الدولية لقاع البحار واستخدام مجمع مركز المؤتمرات في جامايكا (انظر ISBA/10/A/2-ISBA/10/C/2).

7. The Secretary-General informed the Assembly that he had not been able to prepare a report on the offer made by the Government of Jamaica regarding the location of the permanent headquarters of the Authority during the first part of the current session because the engineers and architects appointed by the secretariat had not been given access to the building until the Thursday before the opening of the resumed fourth session.
٧ - وأبلغ اﻷمين العام الجمعية أنه لم يتمكن من إعداد تقرير عن العرض الذي تقدمت به حكومة جامايكا فيما يتعلق بموقع المقر الدائم للسلطة أثناء الجزء اﻷول من الدورة الراهنة ﻷنه لم يسمح للمهندسين والمهندسين المعماريين الذين عينتهم اﻷمانة بدخول المبنى إلا يوم الخميس السابق لافتتاح الدورة الرابعة المستأنفة.
