By its resolution 927 (1994), the Security Council extended the mandate of UNFICYP until 31 December 1994 and urged all concerned to commit themselves to a significant reduction in the number of foreign troops and a reduction of defence spending in the Republic of Cyprus to help restore confidence between the parties and as a first step towards the withdrawal of non-Cypriot forces as set out in the Set of Ideas.
ومدد مجلس اﻷمن، بقراره ٩٢٧ )١٩٩٤(، ولاية قوة اﻷمم المتحدة لحفظ السلم في قبرص حتى ٣١ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٤، وحث جميع اﻷطراف المعنية على الالتزام بإحداث خفض كبير في عدد القوات اﻷجنبية وخفض اﻹنفاق الدفاعي في جمهورية قبرص للمساعدة في استعادة الثقة بين اﻷطراف، وليكون ذلك خطوة أولى نحو سحب القوات غير القبرصية على النحو المبين في مجموعة اﻷفكار.
