Article 10 (1) of the Constitution of Pakistan states, " No person who is arrested shall be detained in custody without being informed, as soon as may be, of the grounds for such arrest, nor shall he be denied the right to consult and be defended by a legal practitioner of his choice " .
٨١ - وتنص المادة ٠١)١( من دستور باكستان على أنه " لا يجوز حبس أي شخص معتقل في الحراسة دون إحاطته علما، بأسرع ما يمكن، عن اﻷسس التي تم بناء عليها هذا الاعتقال، كما لا يجوز حرمانه من الحق في استشارة ممارس قانوني يختاره بنفسه ليدافع عنه " .
