60. The procedure for a respondent to challenge the jurisdiction of the Court or the admissibility of an application was set out in the Rules of Court.

States can challenge the jurisdiction of the Court or the admissibility of the case from the beginning of the proceedings provided for in article 15 or article 18.

(a) Challenges to the jurisdiction of the Court or the admissibility of the case, pursuant to article 19, paragraph 2, must be submitted in writing prior to the commencement of the trial.
