Committee members pose questions on the implementation of the Covenant in the country, based on the State party report, the core document, the replies provided by the State party to the list of issues, and any additional information submitted to the Committee.

The Committee notes that, while providing some information about constitutional and legal measures giving effect to articles 6, 7, 9, 10 and 14, the report lacked information on the practice concerning human rights and on the difficulties affecting the application of the Covenant in the country.

The fact that the delegation acknowledged to a certain extent the difficulties encountered in the implementation of the Covenant in the country is appreciated by the Committee.
وتقدﱢر اللجنة اعتراف الوفد الى حد ما بالصعوبات المواجَهة في تنفيذ العهد في بلده.

In the meantime, the secretariat of the Committee establishes a list of national NGOs working in the field of economic, social and cultural rights and contacts these NGOs in writing to solicit information from them regarding the implementation of the Covenant in the country in question.
وأثناء ذلك الوقت، تقوم أمانة اللجنة بإعداد قائمة بالمنظمات غير الحكومية الوطنية العاملة في مجال الحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية وتتصل بهذه المنظمات خطياً للحصول على معلومات منها تتعلق بتنفيذ العهد في البلد المعني.

13. The Committee is concerned at the proposed and pending amendment to the Law on the Legal Status of Aliens, which may allow for the removal of foreigners who are regarded as constituting a threat in terms of national security or public policy, before an appeal has been heard, even if they may be exposed to a violation of their rights under article 7 of the Covenant in the country of return.
13- ويساور اللجنة القلق إزاء التعديل المقترح والمعلق للقانون المتعلق بالمركز القانوني للأجانب، الذي قد يمكّن من إجلاء الأجانب الذين يعتبرون تهديداً للأمن القومي أو للسياسة العامة، قبل النظر في الطعن في أمر إجلائهم، حتى وإن كان من الممكن أن يتعرضوا لانتهاك حقوقهم بموجب المادة 7 من العهد في البلد الذي سيعادون إليه.
