The Council affirmed that it continued to welcome all initiatives to mitigate the suffering of the Iraqi people. It stressed its determination to continue the efforts of the GCC States to end their plight, which had already endured for too long.

In keeping with the desire of the leaders of the GCC States to promote broader and more comprehensive cooperation, the Supreme Council reviewed the recommendations and follow-up reports submitted by the Ministerial Council and took the necessary decisions with regard to them, as follows:

The leaders of the GCC member States also commended the major role played by His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait and Chairman of the Supreme Council's current session, in the conduct of the meetings held. This had the greatest impact in ensuring that important decisions and conclusions were reached in the endeavour to fulfil the aspirations of the peoples of the GCC States.

The Council examined the minutes of the 24th meeting of the Industrial Cooperation Committee, held in November 2005, and the matters discussed by it in connection with the anti-dumping technical secretariat, the preparation of a comprehensive export strategy for the exports of the GCC States and the preparation of the implementing regulation for the law on the uniform industrial system of the Gulf States.

ومما يدعو للأسف أنه يتوجب مرة أخرى على أعضاء مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية التصدي للتدخل الإيراني في شؤون المجلس، حسبما عبر عنه البيان الصادر عن الدورة العشرين بعد المائة للمجلس الوزاري: " يدين المجلس استمرار إيران في استفزازاتها الصارخة وتدخلها في الشؤون الداخلية لدول المجلس.

The Council expressed its satisfaction at the steps taken and stressed the importance of the sustained implementation of all military cooperation programmes aimed at enhancing the defence capabilities of the GCC States. Security matters
