44. With regard to the concept of paper-smart meetings, the Group urged the Secretariat to provide the information that had previously requested by the General Assembly, including the possible effects of the paper-smart concept on human resources and the costs to Member States, among other concerns.

10. The appeal of the paper-smart model is not a reduced workforce but its transformation into a mobile, multilingual, and technologically savvy workforce, which would be able to provide the scope of services needed for intergovernmental meetings instantly and as required.
