Under the provisions of General Assembly resolution 67/221, graduated countries are invited to provide concise annual reports to the Committee on the implementation of the smooth transition strategy for a period of three years, and triennially thereafter, as a complement to the two triennial reviews of the list of least developed countries carried out by the Committee for Development Policy (see para. 20 of the resolution).
